Welcome to our Class Web Page!
Our Class Mission
We the Kids of Room 111 will come together to make our classroom great. We will do our Leader Roles to ensure that our classroom stays clean and organized. We will work quietly to make sure we do our best work and not distract others. We will help others. We will learn and use the 7 Habits to make our lives better. We will come in with a smile on our face ready to build each other up and succeed!
A Little Bit About Mrs. Moughton...
I grew up right here in the Vicksburg community. In fact, I went to Sunset Lake Elementary as a student! I graduated from Western Michigan University and earned my Masters degree through Marygrove College. I began my teaching career in the Sturgis Public School system in 2004. This will be my twelfth year of teaching at Sunset Lake and my eleventh year teaching second grade. Along with being a classroom teacher, I have had roles as an Academic Coach and Grade Level Chair in our building. This year, I will also be serving as the K-2 Social Studies District Content Chair. I am really looking forward to this school year and know we'll have a great one!
My husband, Rob and I have been married for 12 years and have two children. My daughter, Ayla (10), will be in 5th grade with Mrs. Phelps and Easton (8) is a third grader in Mrs. Trayers' room. I have absolutely loved my time with them this summer. We've had some fantastic trips to the beach in South Haven, Ludington, Manistee and St. Joe. Our family LOVES fall with football and apple orchards that come with it! We're looking forward to this transition into the 2017-2018 school year.
